My Excogitation

In this post, I want to talk about addiction, its cause, its effects and recovery period. Addiction definition from wikipedia: " The term "addiction" is used in many contexts to describe an obsession, compulsion, or excessive physical dependence, such as: drug addiction, alcoholism, compulsive overeating, problem gambling, computer addiction, etc. " In this, they have missed one of the major addiction porn addiction and also smoking. I think even love is an addiction. When ever I think about addiction, the root cause of that addiction is the way they are brought up. There are also many things that makes up to the cause. But I think the major one is the limitations given by the parents. Telling the kids every time, 'This is bad', because of which the kids' curious mind will try it; at any cost (Except for some kids, who doesn't like to break the rules). 14th Aug 2008, I left my office at 8:30:10 PM. It was raining heavily, and heard that there was very very heavy traffic jam on the way. So I thought that it would take at least 2:30 hrs to reach home. So did my normal jobs which I do everyday in the bus. At 10:11:25 PM the bus crossed corporation, towards majestic. Well, that's where every thing stopped. The traffic was so much that the bus just moved 10-15 mtrs in some 1 hr. Now I came to know that my friend was also in the same bus. And due to this traffic jam, I made some new friends in the bus. AT 11:22:50 PM; me, my friend and other new friends decide to step out of the bus and walk till we find some clear road and then get an auto and head home. We were out of the bus and started walking, but on the way we came to know that there was traffic jam even for walking! KIDS, Please do not try this in the Lift!!! This incident occurred on 7-Aug-2008 8:47:32 PM. Me, Shanmuga and Pooja were all moving from our cubes to our houses. As usual we waited and the boarded the Lift. We went into a lift. Then the door closed and lift started to move down from 6th floor to the ground floor. Shanmuga and Pooja were chatting with each other, I was looking at the lift door. When the lift just crossed the 1st floor, my hands (which at no time will be at rest, other than sleeping) tried to open the door. To my surprise the door of the moving lift opened , I even saw the wall! All of a sudden the lift moved to up to the first floor. All the three of us felt the gravitational pull, Shanumga was even scared to death. Both of them did not notice me doing this thing, they thought that the lift had some problem. Beggars (Almsman) are those people who are just lazier than me. I don't feel any laziness to work, but they don't even want to work, that's the reason i hate them. I never ever give them a single penny. The above statement was being followed very strictly till yesterday. Yesterday I saw a beggar with a difference, so I paid him 5Rs., well the cost does not matter here. Everyone in my family was shocked to see me paying a beggar. They might have thought that when in this holy world did I become good. Everyone after reading the first few lines will think that way. Now the truth is that, I did not pay the beggar by any sympathy or empathy. It was because of the place that he was begging, I gave him the money. I have seen a lot of beggars in temples, bus stops and other place, but have never ever in my whole life I have seen a beggar outside the ATM. Arrrrrrrrrrr..... Hello my fellow sailors. From today onwards I will be the self proclaimed ' Pirate Master '. I won the second place in a treasure hunt that happened on 31-07-08 in Infosys (MFG). My team: Me, Sumit, Sudeep, Rajneesh and Kailash. It had been a hard week for me till thursday, but from that day it has been all good. Treasure hunt was really amazing, coz I had not been participating in any kind of event from some 4 years. After a long break this was an awesome one, and that too my team won. This has become a lifetime remembering experience. The start was a bit delayed coz my team was not willing to come. Then it was all smooth, we just ran around the whole of the infy campus, bangalore. We just lost to the team which won the first place by just giving one wrong answer. Then at the end we cycled our way to the final destination in a heavy rain, this was the best part of the whole event. At the end we realized that treasure is not the important thing in this event
